Agni
Natchathiram, as per the Hindu myths it has been clearly referenced as peak
summer period, while the Sun will traverse via the star Karthigai, which is rules
by Agni or fire.
During
this, the Sun will be blemishing over India and it will be very sizzling. When
compared to the rest of the other season this period of Agni Natchathiram,
climate will be very sultry and more scorch. People will think twice before
they plan for their outside tenure during their daytime.
In
order to reduce the heat, in all temples a special pot of paneer has been placed
along with ‘vetti verr’ in the Garbhagraha as it will calm down the idol.
Even
though, the astro-meteorologist S. Ramachandran said the summer will not be too
severe this May due to the forte and fragility of evident planetary points.
We can very well anticipate few rains in southern Tamil Nadu, which would step by step move up to Northern parts of the state through the May month, he added.
