The recent dengue case accounted in Coimbatore hospital, has cautioned both the State and local government.
The State health
administration officials said that they will deepen their efforts conjointly
with the local bodies.
However, the
Chennai Corporation appears to be sitting quietly. A recent report offered to
the Corporation Commissioner on Monday, pointed out that the civic body’s pains
to fetch the mosquito threat in control have been unpaid to the extent that the
scientific signs are alarmed.
The civic body says that they have succeeded in clearing down the hoes from several water bodies across the city, as well as they succeeded in bring down the scientific signs like vector density and larval density.
We are serving on door campaign to control the water stagnation and to dish out chlorine tablets in the water containers and thus swear a control on the massive outburst of dengue or malaria this year, says a senior official of the Chennai Corporation.
We have also done with the clearance work on the PWD waterways with their consent. The report shows a sheer drop in larval and mosquito density, said a senior official.
