For the past few weeks, Chennaiites enjoy the pleasant and breezy weather. On Tuesday, the temperature has tumbled down, followed by the amazing rainfall.
Now, the temperature has again gradually increased up to 40 degree celsius.
As per the information from the meteorological department, the temperature stands for 29.9 degree celsius last Tuesday and this number mounts up to 40.6 degree Celsius this Tuesday.
In course of the June month, the temperature generally will not go beyond 40 degree celsius. And of the strange thing during this year is that, this hot temperature will prevail consistent for a long duration, as the sea breeze has been resting late this month, says official from the meteorological department.
Usually the May month is more flat to temperatures above 40 degree Celsius, since the dry-hot coils from the western province of the country drive towards Tamil Nadu. On the other hand, the evenings get cool due to cool, wet and burly sea breeze. In June, the sea breeze drains the city building it sore in the evenings.
Places like Chennai, Pondicherry and Cuddalore were getting scorched, reversely many hill stations like Valparai and Kodaikanal sustains its cool. On Tuesday, Kodaikanal received a high temperature of 18.7 degree Celsius and Valparai has recorded 23.5 degree Celsius.
