SCHOOL EDUCATION IN THE STATE GETS FILLIP

The state government is planning to set up heritage clubs in all schools. The government has provisioned Rs 10000 Crores for the school education sector in the state. Explaining the Governments’ thought process, Thangam Thennarasu said that the government was working on the infrastructure in all the schools. The schools will get computers for computer aided teaching and learning, libraries, introduction of SSA method of teaching, increasing Teacher student ratio, upgrading laboratories.
Thangam Thennarau said that the heritage clubs, being planned to be set up in all schools, would fundamentally change the manner in which students learn. The students will take more interest in their living places and also in their school neighborhood. The concept of preservation would be stressed. This will help them become aware of the need to protect the ancient heritage and its many symbols.
