Mobile phone radiations are not harmful, say doctors

A group of health experts have now come up to dispel fears about the harmful effects of radiations emitted from mobile phones and towers. As a part Cellular Operators Association of India’s awareness campaign, experts assure that radiations from mobile phones are not harmful in anyway and it doesn’t affect a person’s health in any way. One of the doctors clarified that the confusion got raised only because of co-relation between telecom towers and incidence of cancer.
It is to be noted that there have always been several voices from NGOs and environmental groups stating the harmful and adverse effects of Electromagnetic Field (EMF) emissions from cell towers and mobile phones. Owing to this, there were oppositions from everywhere for setting up mobile phone towers on buildings by several residents. Speaking to the chemical sciences professor of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), he says that the non-ionising radiations of mobile emission have their effect only on local change in temperature.
