Warns of Terror Attacks – TN Police Stiffen Security

Subsequent to the alarm on likelihood of the Pakistan-based terror attacks in South India, the Tamil Nadu police have intensified their security measures. Few Srilankan Muslim youths were being skilled by the Pakistani terror groups to bang South India, report stated by the Intelligence Bureau.

This alert has been treated with high importance, as it arrives next to the arrest of Mohammed Zakir Husain, an ISI-trained Sri Lankan national during the month of April in Chennai. In addition, the alarm said that a team of about 6 Muslim youths, who aged amid 20 to 25, are possible to invade TN either by airways or sea route to attack few crowded regions in South India, said an official in the State Home Department.

Arrest of Husain and the twin bomb blasts at Chennai Central railway station on 1 May grounds behind the plan of Pakistan-based jihadi groups to attack India with Sri Lanka as a center, sources said.

Coastal Defense Group workforces have intensified security all along the coast regions including Chennai, Cuddalore, Nagaipatinam, Rameswaram, Tuticorin and Kanyakumari districts. Additionally, Police officials have stepped up vehicle checks.

Fishermen have been advised to go to the sea in groups and avert fishing at isolated places as the warning said the secret agents may assault them and take control over their boats.
