While booking e-tickets for train through the internet, some difficulties are encountered on the net due to internet problems. IRCTC has introduced a new web site attempting to solve this problem.
The web site is designed to reduce the time delay in waiting while booking e-tickets on the internet.
The new web site address: www.nget.irctc.co.in
This new web site replaces the old web site: www.irctic.co.in
As the new web site performs at a higher speed, it enables reduction in waiting time.
The regular customers are being informed about the new web site through SMS.
This new web site enables booking of 7,00,000 e-tickets per day!
IRCTC informs that under the old system, up to 5,00,000 e-tickets were booked per day.
