Change in cooking gas price before October: Dharmendra Pradhan

Central Minister for Petroleum, Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan informed that the price of cooking gas might be increased before October.
While talking to the reporters in Delhi, the minister informed that a decision will be taken on this issue after consultations with the experts and the shareholders.
The minister indicated that the government keeps an open mind on this issue.
However, it is very likely that there will be a change in the price of cooking gas before October. This price rise will be decided as per the recommendations of the Rangarajan Committee..
At the same time, the minister insisted that there are NO Immediate Plans to raise the prices of cooking gas and kerosene. There will be no changes in the current pricing policy.
The minister confirmed that the subsidies will continue.
There will be no change in the system of the monthly price rise of 50 paise per litre of diesel.
