All of us are aware taking bananas, one of the 3 famous fruits in Tamil Nadu (mango & jackfruit are the other 2) is good for health.
However, do you know that there are some bad effects as well while taking bananas? Please keep in mind that anything in excess is evil!
- However nutritious a food item may be, it is not wise to consume excess quantities of the same. This will have the contrary effects harmful to the body.
- In the same vein, it is wrong to take excessive quantities of banana as it is cheaper as compared to other fruits!
- Banana is recommended to increase body-weight. As banana is rich in carbohydrate and calories, this will have an immediate positive effect in weight increase.
- However, it is better to take it along with some quantities of other fruits as well.
- Excessive consumption of bananas may give rise to severe headaches. As banana is rich in ethylamine & phenyl ethylamine, which tend to increase the blood flow to the brain, it can cause headaches.
- Many people have the habit of taking bananas in the night before going to sleep. This is because bananas have a sleep-inducing effect. However, as bananas re rich in carbohydrates and low in protein, it tends to increase tryptophan in the brain. This may tend to disturb sleep. Bananas also produce serotonin & melatonin. So avoid taking extra quantity of bananas in the nights.
- Excessive consumption of bananas can also disturb the blood pressure. Especially for the people having low blood pressure and taking medicine for the same, it is better to avoid taking excess bananas.
