Generally, it is rather difficult for over-weight women to conceive. In case they conceive, they have to encounter problems like abortion, earlier delivery and some defective births. This is why the doctors generally advise to lose weight before conceiving.
If the overweight women keep themselves active and busy, they can have a healthy delivery. There are some regular daily physical exercises to be followed.
- They have to choose proper nutritious food items which are rich in protein, calcium and good fat.
- It is normal to eat more during pregnancy. There will be a desire to eat more & more lots of food. However, in order to keep the body weight under control, refrain from eating more.
- They has to ensure taking more protein-rich food which will generate more energy and keep the body and mind in good shape.
- Avoid fat-rich food items. This will help reduce the accumulation of fat in the body and keep it healthy.
- Drinking water is excellent for controlling hunger. To keep the body weight from increasing, it is better to take a bowl of snacks with plenty of water.
- It is better to do regular daily physical exercises. It will keep the body active and also remove the excess fat in the body. It is excellent to practise yoga.
- It is important that overweight pregnant women not to take any dieting programme. This may prevent valuable nutrition for the body and may even harm the infant.
