Special BSNL SIMs for Amarnath yatris

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), has provided mobile connectivity en route holy cave both from Pahalgam and Baltal on the commencement of Holy Amarnath Yatra 2014. With the commissioning of the state-of-the-art technology mobile BTSs, the pilgrims can remain in touch with their families during the whole yatra.
Yatris may procure the BSNL/MTNL post-paid SIM cards from their respective circles with roaming facility to remain in touch with families during the yatra. BSNL has also made arrangement for the sale of special Amarnath Yatra SIMs at base camps both at Pahalgam and Sonamarg/Baltal. The validity of the SIM is for seven days, and costs Rs 195 with a talk-time of 120 minutes to any network. In any case, the pilgrims are required to submit the copy of their yatra slip, valid POI/POA (Proof of Identity/Address) and four passport size photographs.
