Central government plans ‘World-class’ facilities at Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, and Coimbatore airports

Central Minister for Aviation transport, Mr. G. M. Sidheshwara, has announced that 40 airports including Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu will be provided with ‘world-class’ services.

Modernisation & renovation of old airports is being continued.

Steps are being taken gradually keeping all socio-economic factor in mind including getting seats without any hassle and getting the required transportation.

New termini are planned for Tirupathi & Chandigarh. Expansion of Jammu airport is also under consideration.

New airports are planned for Port Blair, Belgum, Hubli, and Agartala.
