The minimum monthly PF pension has been raised to Rs. 1000/-. Central government is exploring the possibilities of implanting this with a retrospective effect.
The state minister for Central Employees welfare, Mr. Vishnudeo Sal informed in Rajyasabha that the government is exploring different methods to implement the revised PF monthly pension scheme.
Further, the minister indicated that there are considerations whether this would be implemented with retrospective effect, that is from a back-date.
The revised minimum PF monthly pension of Rs. 1000/- was announced by the finance minister, Mr. Arun Jaitely, during the budget presentation.
The resources for PF circles inform that around 28 Lakhs pensioners are likely to benefit from this revision.
