Income tax return filing gets easier

Aiming to improve transparency and compliance, the government has introduced many modifications in filing income tax returns. With July 31 nearing soon, it is now found that the procedure to file income tax is getting easier. Though the rates and slabs of tax for 2014-15 and 2013-14 remain quite similar to each other, resident individuals with income around Rs 5,00,000 is offered a Rs 2000 rebate. This is provided under Section 89A.
