Ebola Virus spreading quickly! – Health Department asks doctors to be prepared!

The general health department has ordered all the government hospital doctors and the deans in the medical colleges to be prepared to give emergency treatment to the patients with Ebola virus.

All the passengers arriving at airports are being checked by special squads whether they carry Ebola virus.

Ebola virus has been spreading quite fast in West African nations.

As there has been no cure found for this virus, just as in the case of swine fever, nations all over the world have been shocked. So far, 670 persons are reported to have died due to this virus.

World Health Organisation has alerted for preventive action as this is spreading to other countries.

Special squads formed!

Several nations have commenced preventive action to stop this virus.

In India, the prevention activities have commenced with checking at all airports.

Special squad has been formed with members from the National Council for Disease Control (NCDC) , National Virology centre at Pune, Tamil Nadu Public Health (TPH) Department, and the officials at the airport health centre. All passengers arriving, especially from West African countries, are thoroughly checked for this virus.

An official from Chennai informed that no case has been found carrying Ebola virus. If any case is reported, immediate treatment will be administered. All doctors have been instructed to be on alert.
