Passport Applications: House-rent/lease agreement can be proof of residence!

Passport official, Mr. Mukesh K. Pardesh, informed that the passport applicants now attach the copy of the house rent/lease agreement as proof of residence.
The checking process of passport applications for residential proof involves 12 documents: Voter ID, Bank Passbook, Ration Card, Gas Connection Proof, Electricity or water bill payments, and landline or cell phone bill payments.
Now, house rent/lease contract agreement more than 1 year old will also be considered as proof of residence.
