General Counselling for Engineering completed: 1 Lakh seats vacant!

With the general counselling for engineering college admissions getting completed, there are still over 1,00,000 vacant seats.

General counselling for the applicants started on 7th July. Most of the students chose colleges which offered their preferred specialisation.

General counselling was conducted for 28 days and has been completed.

There were 211589 seats from 538 approved colleges.

Out of these, 109079 seats have been filled in the general counselling.

102510 seats are yet to be taken. There are 101705 seats in the self-financed engineering colleges.

Supplementary counselling is scheduled for day after tomorrow (Thursday, 7th August). 

In this, applications from the successful candidates who wrote supplementary exams are being registered.
