Chennai to be cool today

Several parts of the city received sudden spells of rain on Friday , bringing down the evening temperature considerably . Light rain is expected in the evening and night for the next few days, the weatherman has said.The Nungambakkam weather centre registered 20.7mm of rain.
While the city recorded a maximum temperature of 35.7 degrees Celsius on Friday , the minimum temperature was recorded at 25 degrees Celsius. Officials at the regional meteorological centre said that sudden formation of thunder clouds late evening brought heavy showers that lasted for nearly an hour.
