CM Jayalalithaa‘s latest is Amma Makkal Sevai Maiyyam(Amma Peoples Service Centre)

In the Amma series of welfare projects, the latest one is Amma Makkal Sevai Maiyyam (Amma People`s Service Centre).
The service centre will be a one-stop shop for availing services of urban local bodies like corporations and municipalities for birth and death certificates, taxation issues and commercial licenses.
“Officials will meet people every Wednesday and ensure time-bound services”, chief minister J Jayalalithaa said in the assembly on Friday, adding that heads of departments will monitor delivery of online services for faster solutions.
Officials in the revenue department point out that Jayalalithaa has announced the new scheme Amma Makkal Sevai Maiyyam following the success of Amma Thittam camps by the revenue department. The government has extended the facility to the services of urban local bodies under the new project.
