Get a Trade License in a Single Day – Chennai Corporation

It is now achievable to get a trade license within the Corporation limits in a single day.
Usually, it will take up to months to get the work done. But now, on the same day of submitting the applications, the license will be issued, provided all the needed red tape is done, say the civic authorities.
The civic body has incorporated in trader’s union for abridging the system for inspecting the traders prior to the license issuance. On Friday, nearly about 150 commercial organizations got trade license for trading of drugs and pharmaceuticals in and around Saligramam, Chennai.
The traders with the essential paper works including two photographs, DD for payment of fee, property tax bill, photo’s of the commercial company and a self proclamation as well as the filled up application form, will be surely get the license on the same day, said the Chennai Corporation Official.
Previously, the system of issuance of trade license engages a minimum of two weeks. Trades wrapped under other legislative provisions concerning to public health will not be roofed in the new scheme.
In case of the rented premises, traders ought to put forward the no-objection certificate from the building owner.
The purpose of the new scheme is to regulate the system of trade licensing across the city. We are in a plan of roofing more than 30,000 traders in the new scheme, said the official.
On Friday, Mayor Saidai Duraisamy on Friday initiated the issuance of the trade licenses under the new scheme.
