The Madras Heritage Motoring Club is gearing up to celebrate the 10th edition of the club’s MyTVS Heritage Car Rally in the city.
The row of cars beginning with the 1926 Austin Chummy and the 1936 Fiat 500 A to the 1966 MGB were a huge hit among those who passed by. The paint jobs, seat leathers, headlamps and white stripe tyres of the machines were a testimony to classic craftsmanship and delighted even children who excitedly gathered around many of the priceless models.
Organisers said that the rally would be held on August 24 at Don Bosco School grounds in Egmore. Members of MHMC promised a captivating rally on Sunday with cars and motorcycles taking part in the event under three categories –vintage (vehicle models upto 1939), classic (1940 to 1959) and modern classics (1960 to 1975).
