Fire breaks out Alandur metro railway station

On Thursday afternoon, a fire on broke that out in a storage room the ground floor of the Metro Rail station under construction at Alandur. The fire destroyed electrical equipment. No one was injured.
Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot to put out the fire. A short circuit was the reason for the fire. The room was used to store electrical equipment meant for installation at the station.
