Cell phones likely to overtake human population across the world

Here is an interesting information from a survey report about total number of cell phones used across the world and the overall human population.

By this year end, it is likely that the total population of people will be overtaken by the total number of cell phones used across the world. This report is identified by a survey conducted by the telecommunication association.

By December 2014, the total world population is expected to reach 700 crore. At the same time, the total number of cell phones expected to be in use is around 730 crore. As of now, in more than hundred countries, there prevails an increase in total number of mobile phones than the actual human population.

Considering Russia, currently, there are 25 crore cell phone connections. This count is nearly 1.8 times higher than the country’s overall population.
