Low pressure brings showers all the way

Maharashtra is sizzling with heavy rainfall due to low pressure, and Tamil Nadu and Pondichery are likely to join the show as the state is likely to receive rainfall too, say meteorological department here in Chennai. Further to the heavy blast of rain in Kerala due to southwest monsoon, Maharashtra is now experiencing low pressure which induced heavy showers in the state. Amidst this, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telungana is fully drained with heavy rainfall.

Now it is the turn for Tamil Nadu as the state has heat convection, rainfall is found wide across the state. The highest rainfall was noted at Nilgiris as 20 mm. In places like Chinna kallaar Vaalparai, 10 mm rainfall was recorded.

Starting from the noon time, Chennai received rainfall till the evening hours across the city. Meenambakkam, Nungambakkam, etc received around 10 mm rainfall.

Together with rainfall come few troubles for Chennaites. Of course, roads went a poor place to travel with water stagnation. Auto and two wheelers stammered to pass by these water stagnant areas.
