A.R.Rahman’s small screen presence after 34 years

After making his small screen presence as a child artist in ‘Wonder Balloon’ in 1980, Oscar Winner A.R. Rahman is now set to make it again after 34 years! In his new avatar, he will anyway appear as a musician.
AGPPL the company that produced magnificent movies like Laghaan, Jodha Akbar, etc is about to produce a TV series by name ‘Everest’. This will be directed by renowned director Gleen Baretto. This series which is set for telecast in Star Plus will have its music scored by A.R. Rahman and the ace musician agreed to it recently.
Speaking to the musician, he says the time period of the release of ‘Wonder Balloon’ was totally different from what is going to get telecast now. TV series are getting produced with digital sound effects using contemporary technologies. The director described about the 12 main characters of the series. It really touched my heart and I certainly agreed to take up the project.
