Reservations for travel in Omni-buses travelling to Southern Districts of Tamil Nadu for the occasion of Deppavali festival is now 75% completed.
Omni-buses to Thiruneleveli, Kanyakumari, Nagevoil, Madurai, Trichy, Kumbakaonam, Tanjore, Erode, Coimbatore, and Salem from Chennai Koyambedu Bus terminal have all been booked up to 75%.
Buses towards other states & cities such as Trivandrum, Cochin, Ernakulam, and Bangalore have also been booked.
Totally, 450 buses run on these 2 fronts. Reservation bookings have been going on for the past several weeks. In fact, people planning to visit their native places for celebrating Deepavali have started reserving for this trip more than 1 month in advance.
With still 1 month to go before Deepavali, 75% reservations stand completed.
Private Omni-bus operators have already started installing CCTV camera for security purposes.With this security measure, incidents such as given drugged-biscuits to the passengers & stealing, etc can be tracked to identify the culprits.
All the buses running in important highways are being fitted with GPS equipment. This will help record the details such as location of the bus, where it stops for how long, 24-hour watch on the condition of the bus.
