‘E-service Centres’ at Guindy & Velachery Taluk Offices to function from today!

In Chennai district, 7 Taluk offices have e-service systems. Only 3 Taluk offices at Guindy, Velachery, and Ayanavaram were functioning without e-services.
Details such as Caste, income, graduation certificate, marriage finance scheme, girl-child protection scheme, other welfare-related services, taxes to be paid to the Corporation, electricity bills, MWSSB bills (water & sewage) are provided readily by the e-services.
There has been a huge increase in the public using this e-service. So far, 49000 persons have used the e-services applying for different schemes. People who have furnished all correct details have been given certificates.
E-services facility has now been extended to the Taluk offices at Guindy & Velachery to function from today, Tuesday, 24th September.
Collector Sundaravalli informed that e-services have become quite popular. Until now, Taluk offices at 7 places including Mylapore, & Tondiarpet were having the provision for e-services. Now, for the benefit of the other public, this has been provided at Guindy & Velachery.E-service at Ayanavaram will be introduced shortly.
