All private schools have suddenly announced that their schools will function tomorrow, Tuesday, 7th October.
A token-one day work-stoppage was announced by all public schools & colleges in support for the former Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, who had been convicted & jailed.
However, there was a heavy protest for this proposal from all political parties to the extent of demanding the licence to be removed for these institutions.
Subsequently, the association of all private educational institutions has announced that their schools and colleges will function as usual on tomorrow, 7th October.
The press release:
The association had planned to observe 1 day fasting & work stoppage on 7th October in support of the convicted former Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, who strove for good quality education. The schools were to reopen on Wednesday, 8th October.
However, as examinations were scheduled earlier for this date, keeping the topmost priority for the students’ best, this proposal has been changed. All private schools & colleges will function on Tuesday, 7th October.
