TRUST a scholarship exam for Class-9 students scheduled for Oct-12

In government and government-aided schools present in villages, Talent Search Scheme Examination (Trust) examination is annually conducted for students belonging to Class-9. This is a qualifying examination for scholarship in rural areas. Students who get through this test with success are eligible to get scholarship amount of Rs 1000 until they finish Plus-2 studies.
With this examination, a total of 100 students from each school (50 boys and 50 girls) are selected for the scholarship. On the whole, considering all the 31 districts excluding Chennai, over 3100 students are eligible to obtain the scholarship amount.
Trust exam for the year 2014 was scheduled on September 28, however due to troubles with management, the test got postponed to October 12, Sunday. As per revised date, the test will be conducted on coming Sunday. This test is expected to see participation from 57,000 students, say government officials.
