Rations shops will be open on Sunday, 19th October,for the coming Deepavali festival!

Minister Chellur Raju informed that all cooperative rations shops will be open on Sunday, 19th October, on behalf of the Deepavalai festival.
The minister took the steps to shift the 5 Fair Price shops functioning in an old building in Mylapore & Mandaveli to a new place. Following this, the shops have been shifted to a new location owned by the Chennai Corporation at Mundakkanni Amman Koil Street (Cooperative Child development Building).
The minister inspected these fair price shops maintained by TUCS.
He recommended that some shelter should be provided for the visiting public with the coming monsoon season in mind.
The minister informed that the decision to open all the 32 fair price shops on 19th October was to facilitate the public buy all items for the coming Deepavali festival. The shop employees must attend duty on this day. Even those who had applied for leave should cancel the same and attend duty.
