IRNSS Satellite 1C countdown starts!

Countdown for IRNSS launch of satellite 1C has started. This satellite will keep track of all land & sea route traffic, and would also be helpful in disaster management. ISRO scientists are engaged in sending satellites for GPS services under the I-Global positioning system.

7 satellites are planned to be launched for this purpose.

In the first phase, INRSS satellites 1A & 1B have already been launched through PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicles) rockets.

 In the next phase, satellite 1C is planned to be launched on 16th October by ISRO scientist. The countdown, from 57 hours, commenced at 6.32 AM at Sriharikota today, Monday, 13th October.
