TTD (Thirumala Tirupathi Devsthanam) Board authorities have decided to cancel ‘Divya Darisanam’ at the temple on Saturdays & Sundays due to huge crowd of devotees thronging the temple.
The crowd strength of devotees at Tirupathi has been very high right from the start of this year.
Crowds for the free Darshan, ‘Sarva darisanam’, darshan for the devotees who arrive by climbing, ‘Divya Darisanam’ and the Rs. 50/- ticketed ‘Sudarsana Darisanam’ have all been getting bigger by the day.
This has resulted in the devotees having to wait for longer hours for the Darshan of the Lord.
Hence, Divya Draisanam ticket, meant for the devotees who clime to the temple on foot, was cancelled during the recent Brahmotsavam’.
Divya Darisanam arrangement is also cancelled on Saturdays & Sundays.
So, the counters operating from Fridays 12.00 midnight till Sunday 12.00 midnight will stop operating.
However, the devotees can undertake their jounney by foot. Food and drinking water will be provided. They can reach the temple and join the free darshan line.
From now, the tickets for Divya Darisanam will be issued from early Monday mornings.
