Minister Dharmendra Pradhan informed that the central government has decided to send letters to all state governments to enforce uniform VAT taxes.
This will result in direct benefit for the public. The current subsidy on cooking gas will continue. The subsidy is Rs. 426 per cylinder.
In the first stage, the subsidy will be directly given to the consumers though their bank accounts in 54 districts where this scheme has been implemented.
This will be extended to the entire public from 1st January.
