Union minster of shipping and transport Nitin Gadkari requested the Tamil Nadu government to help out Centre with its cooperation in setting up new infrastructure projects in the state.
NHAI is set with five upcoming road projects stretching for a length of 407.26 km at a project value of Rs 1840 crore in Tamil Nadu. On completing about 90% land acquisition in the state, the NHAI is also ready for commencing two more 4-lane projects by the end of this financial year. NHAI feels it needs utmost support of the state government in this regard.
It is important for us to have the support of the state government in land acquisition and removal of encroachments. We have kept the Union minister updated about the necessary steps required to be taken by the state government so as to make sure about proper functioning of required procedures for the road project, said chief general manager and regional officer of NHAI, V Chinna Reddy.
