India Met Department located the deep depression to 560 km southeast of Visakhapatnam and 690 km south-southeast of Paradip on Thursday afternoon. It would strengthen to a minimal cyclone, but is forecast to weaken rapidly two rounds to become a depression near the Andhra Pradesh coast by Saturday night. It may trigger moderate rainfall over many districts of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday and Sunday. Squally weather may prevail along the coast.
The weakening phase of the cyclone will be initiated from early morning on Saturday.
