Cyclone ‘Ashoba’, formed in the Bay of Bengal, has weaked due to subsequent reduction in the depression. It is located at 730 km Northeast of Chennai and at 500 km Southeast of Vizag.
Subsequently, there might be rains in a few places in North Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh on Saturday (8th November) and Sunday (9th November) as per the announcement from Chennai Meteorological Centre.
There will be strong winds blowing across the North Tamil Nadu coastal areas. Fishermen have been warned not to enter the sea.
Winds may be of 30 km to 50 km velocity blowing across North Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh coastal areas. Seas will be stormy. Hence, it is advisable for those who entered the sea to return to safety.
There have been no rains in Tamil Nadu till 8.30 Am on Friday as per records. However, there may be rains in a few places in the coastal areas.
