GRT Hotels and Resorts known for their impeccable service, and strong customer orientation, have opened their 10th Hotel at Tiruttani. For thousands of years, Tiruttani has attracted travelers, from poets & pilgrims to the rulers of the Vijayanagara Empire. This ancient town is one of Tamil Nadu’s most interesting heritage destinations and the 5th of Lord Muruga’s six abodes.

Mr. Vikram Cotah, Chief Operating Officer, GRT Hotels and Resorts said, GRT has always been ahead of it’s time which has given us very good dividends. We have always looked at unchartered territory and Tiruttani is a case in point. There is rapid industrial growth in and around the belt. Murugappa Group has set up a plant investing close to Rs. 250 Cr. MRF has it’smain plant in this region and have big expansion plans. Ammaiyappar textiles have started their new unit near Tiruttani. This will have a very good impact on other industries too and we envisage that along with industrial growth, hospitality industry will also move ahead. GRT Regency-Tiruttani is ideally located on the Chennai-Tirupathi highway   catering to both national & international corporate and religious travelers.

Mr. Cotah further added they expect good business from these industries as well as from Tourists from India and countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Japan etc. where Lord Subramanya is a beloved deity. Among the six holy abodes of Lord Muruga - Tiruparamkundram, Tiruchendur, Palani, Swamimalai, Tiruttani and Pazhamudircholai, GRT is present in 4 of them.

Hotel GRT Regency at Tiruttani consists of 32 air conditioned Superior and Suite rooms. It has a multi cuisine restaurant, Amudham, which serves delicious North Indian and South Indian vegetarian, non-vegetarian cuisines. The two banquet halls, Geetham I & Geetham II are most appropriate for any conferences, meetings and get together.

The hotel is located 84 km away from Chennai. It is also a mid-point between Tirupati and Chennai. Therefore, the inflow of pilgrims and tourists is expected to grow in the days to come.

Adding impetus to the industrial growth scenario in Tiruttani, GRT opened the “GRT Institute of Engineering and Technology” in 2010 on an 84 acre campus, which will facilitate students in the Tiruvallur district and also provide them opportunities in the upcoming companies developing there. In addition, the campus also offers Business Management & Nursing courses.

The Tiruttani Murugan Temple, which is more than 200 years old, is situated on a hillock. Three Hundred and Sixty five Steps lead to the shrine, each step representing a day of the year. The important festival here is Aadi Krittikai, which lasts for three days with Float Festival when hundreds of thousands of devotees come to this holy place from far and near. With religious and industrial segments  coming together, Tiruttani is on a high growth trajectory which GRT welcomes.
