The government is devising plans to arrange a new facility for train passengers. Those who reserve train tickets will be provided with the contact number and name of Travel Ticket Examiner of the exact compartment they travel in.
The Travel Ticket Examiner is sought for by passengers who are under waiting list wanting to know details about seat availabilities, and to make complaints, if any. There prevails huge commotions and difficulty in identifying who TTE for a specific compartment is. As a step to resolve this issue, a new method is set to get launched soon.
As per the new method, the list of all passengers that is stuck on to the trains will also contain the name and contact detail of the respective TTE. In case of a long journey, there may be changes in TTE. Details about these changes will also be mentioned in the information stuck in the compartment.
By contacting this number, public can get in touch with the TTE for any assistance or to register a complaint. Speaking about the new facility, one of the railway officials said this method is being tested on the Doon express and that the same will get launched all over India very soon.
