The Hindu religious occasion of ‘Vaikunta Ekadasi’ falls on 1st January this year.
There is the usual rush of devotees rushing to have a Darshan on the New Year Day. With the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi also falling on the same day, the crowd devotees may become unmanageable.
The Devasthanam is taking measures to handle the excess crowd of devotees. VIP devotees will not be allowed on this day. Normal devotees will be given priority.
The normal Rs. 300/- Darshan ticket will cost Rs. 5000/- on Vaikunta Ekadasi and Rs. 15000 on Vaikunta Dwadasi (the next day).
The Devasthanam has also announced that all tickets for Darshan will be sold only on-line from 1st January.
Suprapada Sevai at early morning, Kalyana Utsavam, Ticketed Brahmotsavam, Vasantha Utsavam, and Sahaswara Deepa Alankara Sevai all can be booked only on line.
As there were lots of complaints received on DD & letter payments, this measure has been taken. Even the rooms will be allotted only on-line.
For the benefit of rural public, Rs. 300/- Darshan ticket will be sold in Post Offices. This facility will be gradually extended throughout the country.
