Modi government plans to reduce IAS training duration

Narendra Modi government is set to reduce the overall time period of induction training given for IAS officers. The current duration of training is 103 weeks which will soon get reduced to 75.
On receiving recommendations from Kiran Agarwal, the training duration of phase will get reduced by 5 weeks, the second phase by 2 weeks and the third one by a whole 21 weeks. The Department of Personnel and Training took under consideration this proposal and sought for perspectives of the state and union territories.
