Wadaiko Japanese drum live performance in Chennai today

The Consulate General of Japan in Chennai, the Japan Foundation and ABK-AOTS Dosokai, Tamil Nadu Centre, are organising a Wadaiko Japanese drum live performance by Bachi Atari-Alternative Wadaiko Unit. The traditional drums performance will take place at The Music Academy on Thursday.
At a press meet held here on Wednesday to announce the event, there was a demo programme by artistes Tetsu Minegishi, Masashi Okawa and Yuhei Motoyama from the five-year-old Bachi Atari. The group first performed in India in Odisha last year.
The Wadaiko performance will take place at The Music Academy, 7 pm on Thursday. All are welcome, but seats are available on first-come first-serve basis.
