Awards for 4 tech institutes in TN

Taking pride, according to the AICTE-CII survey of the top industry linked technical institutes in 2014, four technical institutions in Tamil Nadu have won the awards in 6 categories out of 12. The winners of the award were announced during the Knowledge expo ceremony which was organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Noida.
Among nine institutions in the nation, four of them are from Tamil Nadu. The institutions are:
· Vel Tech Multi Tech Dr. Rangarajan Dr. Sakunthala Engineering College, Chennai
· Thiagarajar Polytechnic college, Salem
· Sri Eshwar College of Engineering, Coimbatore
· Thiagarajar college of Engineering, Madurai
The chairman of Thiagarajar Polytechnic College, Mr. C. Valliappa said at the ceremony that since the establishment of their college 55 years ago with sound industry background, they have been providing high quality education in technical courses which has helped their students gain good industry experience in their academic period.
Keeping in mind about all important elements, the survey was conducted for over three months. Although this was a long online survey consuming a period of three months, about 50 experts from good academic and industrial background joined the jury process to visit the institutions for on-site assessment.
