Airport gets new director

Captain Deepak Sashtri was posted as director of Chennai airport on Monday. He was regional executive director, southern region, Airports Authority of India. He joined AAI in 1990, after a stint with Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers in the Army, and has served in different capacities. He was instrumental in introducing passenger-friendly initiatives at Pune airport.
