Start-ups hire more number of IITians

The number of start-ups recruiting talented students from IIT Madras is found to have increased this year. Many new companies and start-ups like FlipKart, Snapdeal, Ola Cabs and other renowned companies are recruiting students from IIT-Madras. Flipkart has hired about 200 students from IIT which was 118 last year. Senior director of Flipkart, human resource, Srinder Bhagat said that the massive increase in the digital commerce industry has increased the demand for qualified personnel. He further said that software engineers and graduate trainees from IIT are hired for best packages in the industry.
 
Snapdeal hires more numbers of software design engineers and analysts from IIT-Madras. Over 2500 employees are expected to be hired, particularly in the technology domain. Besides, a spokesperson from Ola Cabs said that fresh talents from IIT-Madras are very intelligent and tremendously skilled at fueling their company’s growth.
 
Moreover, this year, they are intended to hire about 200 IIT students from the campus and their salary is expected range between, Rs.10 lakhs and Rs.18 lakhs per annum.
