TN government needs time to include all government employees & teachers in Pension Plan!

Tamil Nadu State Government’s Chief Secretary of the Department of Finance, Mr. K. Shanmugam, has made press release order:

Pension Scheme has been introduced for all state government employees and teachers who joined after 1st April, 2003.

An Index number will be given while joining the scheme.

The application for getting this index can be downloaded from the Tamil Nadu Government Data Centre.

It is important to verify whether all employees have received their index numbers. This confirmation has to be given to the departments of accounts and treasury.

Though the salary continues to be paid, it is essential for the employees to seek, fill the application and get the index number.

The time period for application has been extended till next February. The salary details of those without index number will be registered only up to February. If index number is not given, the entry of salary particulars will stop after February.

So, the employees and teachers are advised to get and furnish the index numbers for pension scheme before February.
