Metro Rail work between Thirumangalam and koyambedu started

Construction of rails for the Metro rail Service between Thirumangalam and Koyambedu was started. Metro Rail Department Officials said the work for metro rail service is being accelerated in Chennai. As the first step, the service between Alandur and Koyambedu is almost over and it will be fully finished by next month. In connection to this, Commissioner for Security from Bangalore is set to visit Chennai in February to inspect the metro rail service work and certify the same.
  
From 2015 March, the metro rail service will begin functioning in Chennai. Constructing subways for this is on the go at various stages. The 3kms subway between Shenoy Nagar to Thirumangalam is already completed and the construction of rails is being done in this area. The Metro Rail service that goes in subway from Shenoy nagar to Thirumangalam will go on flyover from Thrumangalm to Koyambedu. Pillars are already erected for the flyover bridge.
 
Works for constructing subways in the Shenoy Nagar to Kilpauk route is being undertaken. According to the metro rail department officials, 66.5% of the work has been completed.
