Bus strike of the third day- City comes to stand still

Employees of transport corporations went on an indefinite strike from Sunday morning, leaving lakhs of commuters stranded in the city and across the state. Today is the third day of strike and because of this the commuters are stranded. Eleven trade unions including one of the largest unions, DMK’s Labour Progressive Front (LPF), CITU and INTUC are all taking part in the strike.
Meanwhile, the trade union supported by ruling AIADMK announced that they will be working overtime to maintain the services.
