TN devotees pay respect to forefathers owing to Thai Ammavasai

Owing to Thai Ammavasai, devotees across Tamil Nadu were found showing respect to their forefathers and had a holy dip in rivers.
There were so many devotees from Tamil Nadu who came thronging to Rameshwaram today. They in the early morning performed rituals and prayed to their forefathers. In addition, there were people flocking at Thiruchendur Subramanya Swami temple. Following special rituals and formalities, they had a holy dip at Thiruvaiyaru Kaveri. They placed offerings for their forefathers including sesame seeds, rice, vegetables, and more.
