67th Death Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 30th January!

The death anniversary of the father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi is celebrated across the country in memory of tributes to the Martyrs for national independence on 30th January every year.

Aim

Every Indian citizen must recall the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in order for us to breathe the air of independence. .This must be explained to the youngsters towards instilling the importance of nation’s welfare.

Action

The nation’s President, Mr. Pranab Mukherji, Prime Minister, Mr. Naremdra Modi, and other senior cabinet misters and eminent personalities offered their prayers with flowers at Gandhi Memorial in Rajghat.

Bhajans were played at the Rajghat complex.

Earlier, the Prime Minister made his tributes on the occasion on the Tweeter.

He twitted: ‘I am offering my prayers to the Beloved father of the Nation. My prayers are due to every martyr who sacrificed his/her life for earning independence. Their sacrifice and enthusiasm will serve to continue as guide-lights for our progress as nation.’
