The testing of Agni-5, a missile capable of carrying nuclear weapons for attacks, has been successful.
It has been informed that the testing was done at the Wheeler Islands in the state of Orissa.
The officials informed that a simpler launching system was adopted. With 100% manufacture with local parts, Agni-5 is made entirely in India. Agni-5 can travel a distance of 5000 km from the launching site and attack the target. The highlight is that it corn carry nuclear weapons of up to of 1 ton weight!
Earlier, Agni was tested successfully twice during the years 2012 & 2013.
After completion of some more tests, Agni-5 would be ready for use.
